Gear up for the studio stroll

This year, The 2007 SONYA (South of the Navy Yard Artists) Prelude Show has been combined with Meet the SONYA’s at ElevenTen Gallery in Brooklyn.

This extraordinary event is open to the public to view at least one piece from each artist who will be participating on the Studio Stroll. The reception is from 6:30-9 p.m., April 26. The week of the actual Stroll is May 14-20. May 16-17 is the Champagne Curators Stroll at which curators from various arts institutions and galleries are invited to visit the curator-selected locations. The weekend of May 19-20 is the much anticipated Studio Stroll open to the public. The Hub for the Prelude Show/Meet the SONYAs, for the Curators Tour and the Studio Stroll is the ElevenTen Gallery, one of the premier galleries in the neighborhood of Clinton-Hill. The ElevenTen Gallery is a project of the SONYA, a not-for-profit arts organization that link visual artists to the community’s cultural and economic development through exhibition opportunities, professional and mentoring programs serving Brooklyn’s neighborhoods of Ft. Greene, Clinton Hill, and western edge of Bedford-Stuyvesant. For more information, contact ElevenTen Gallery at 646-387-1217 or visit www.sonyaonline.org or www.myspace.com/sonyaartscommunity.
