THIRD ANNUAL BED STUY ALIVE! TASTE, STRUT, TOUR, KNOW
CELEBRATES THE COMMUNITY’S CREATIVE SPIRIT
Village Wide Affair Showcase Neighborhood’s Premiere Artists & Art Galleries

On Saturday, October 13, and Sunday October 14, as part of the Bed Stuy Alive! Taste, Strut, Tour Know festival, the Bedford-Stuyvesant Artists Association (BeSAA) celebrates its 4th annual Studio Strut honoring Bed Stuy’s culturally rich artistic community. Various creations from the BeSAA will be on display at local art galleries including Zion Gallery at 152 MacDonough Street; Afro Art Designs, 3126 Stuyvesant Avenue; Skylight Gallery at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton Street; George Washington Carver Gallery, 677 Lafayette Street; Ken Wright Gallery, 583 Jefferson Avenue; Stephan Davis Gallery, 152 MacDonough Street, 3rd Floor; and Leroy’s Framing and Gift Shop, 1549 B Fulton Street. In addition to these fine gallery spaces, various neighborhood outlets including local area churches, restaurants, and shops will also display a variety of artwork. Featured artists includes: Annette Brown, Sadakisha Collier, Olivia Cousins, Andre Davis, Stephen Leroy Davis, Dianne Grazette-Collins, Felicia Grosvenor, Fedrecia Hartley, Larry Josephs, Al Johnson, Gerald Jones, Qwenci Jones, Corey Lightfoot, Celeste Morris, Phelonise Willie and Ken Wright. Additional participants include Artmakers Inc, the Bar/Rider Exhibition at the George Washington Carver Gallery and the children of Family Dynamics will have their work on display.

Sponsored by Forest City Ratner Companies, Keyspan, Metro NY, The Positive Community, Independent Foundation, and Pfizer the eight day extravaganza is designed to showcase Bed Stuy’s vibrant shops, eateries, and sights by exposing local residents, friends and the general public to the neighborhood’s majestic brownstones; culturally enriched visual arts community; prestigious landmarks and appetizing restaurants.
