Super-heavyweight novice hopeful Wayne Campo was so eager to get into the Golden Gloves he came directly to the Daily News with his entry.
"Fighting in the Gloves has been one of my dreams, an aspiration for a long time," explained Campo, a 34-year-old plumber from Bed-Stuy. "I wanted to enter in 1991, but things happened along the way. This is my last chance."
Campo will next head to Gleason's Gym, where he hopes to hook up with Harry Keitt, who worked with him at the Bed-Stuy Boxing Club all those years ago.
Boxers planning to enter the 81st annual Daily News Golden Gloves should submit their entries by mail. Entries will be accepted through the end of the year.
