A New York Daily News article accused City Councilman Al Vann of funneling taxpayer dollars to a construction company with a history of complaints for doing shoddy work. Records show that Delight Construction has received over 800K of subsidize funding for construction of affordable housing from a pool of public money known as the the capital discretionary fund.


Vann received $3,000 in campaign money from Delight executives between 2000 and 2002.
