ADAMS STREET – Over forty concerned residents were in Brooklyn Supreme Court Friday afternoon, trying to stop the city from demolishing two historic Bedford-Stuyvesant brownstones after a wall in the basement collapsed earlier this week.

A load-bearing wall that was shared by two homes, 329 and 331 Macdonough St., collapsed and broke a gas line during renovations in the basement on Wednesday morning at about 5 a.m.
