Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will push the city to turn two more borough armories into sports and recreation centers in his State of the Borough address Wednesday night.
The cavernous Bedford-Atlantic and Sumner Avenue Armories - which now house homeless shelters but have plenty of vacant space - would be rehabilitated to include gymnasiums, running tracks, and art exhibition space or swimming pools for schoolkids and neighborhood residents.
