BED STUY DOCTOR ONE OF TEN NEW YORK LIBERTY MEDAL RECEPIENTS
Dr. Monica Sweeney, Vice President of Medical Affairs for Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health Center, was one of ten extraordinary New Yorkers honored at the 6th Annual New York Liberty Medals. “This is like New York City’s Nobel Prize,” said Dr. Sweeney, who is a member of the President’s advisory council on HIV/AIDS, is the author of Condom Sense, a controversial book promoting condom use.
